Additional insurance for au pairs: Property package

As additional insurance coverage for the stay in the host country, we recommend the conclusion of our property package. It includes liability insurance, accident insurance and legal protection insurance. This also covers damage to the host family's household, personal injury and property damage as well as accident benefits and help with legal aid. A luggage insurance can optionally be chosen to cover expensive luggage items such as smartphone or camera in case of loss or damage.

Note: Only the contents and wording of the insurance policy and the insurance conditions are legally binding.

What do I need to know about au pair insurance?

  • The au pair must not be older than 34 years at the time of taking out the insurance
  • It is essential to take out the insurance before the start of the trip (commencement of the trip)
  • The application for the conclusion of an insurance contract must be made for the entire duration of the journey
  • For stays up to 5 years

What is covered for dental treatment?

Covered is:

  • Pain-relieving dental treatment up to € 500
  • Tooth fillings are only available in simple
  • Only the repair of dentures is insured
  • If major dental treatment is required, the policyholder must obtain a treatment and cost plan from the dentist before treatment is carried out
    → We forward this to the WUV for review/approval. Only when it has been approved by the WUV does the patient receive treatment

Note: In the USA, the Netherlands and Switzerland you can only become an au pair through an agency.

USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan
Note: Working Holiday Visa for Au Pairs may need to be applied for as basic knowledge of English/French may be required
