If a problem - i.e. a legal protection claim - actually arises during a trip, the policyholder can assert the so-called legal protection claim .
The best way to do this is to notify the insurance company immediately and describe the entire situation to them or the appointed lawyer. It is also important to provide the relevant evidence and all necessary documents.

There is no excess for legal expenses insurance.

The maximum sum insured is 1 million euros.

Travel legal protection insurance offers protection when it is necessary to protect legal interests in certain geographical areas. These areas include Europe, the countries bordering the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, the Azores and Madeira. The insurance cover applies if a court or authority in these areas is or would be legally responsible if legal or official proceedings were to be initiated.

The contract for travel legal protection insurance is concluded for the period specified in the insurance policy. If the contract period is at least one year, the contract is automatically extended by one year at a time unless notice of termination is given in writing at least three months before the end of the respective insurance year.

If the contract term is less than one year, the contract ends automatically on the scheduled date without the need for termination. If the contract period is longer than three years, it is possible to terminate the contract at the end of the third or each subsequent year. Here too, notice of termination must be submitted at least three months before the end of the respective insurance year.
