• Trip interruption insurance covers the costs that may arise in the event of trip interruption.
• It is already included in the specified tariff for one-off trips.

► Conditions of insurance

The insurance covers the participants of the class or group trip as well as accompanying named supervisors. There is no age limit for supervisors. The prerequisite is that at least five pupils and two accompanying persons take part.

1. Class trip booked - pupil falls seriously ill
   As a group, you look forward to going on a class trip together. The travel preparations are complete and the trip is already booked. Unfortunately, however, it can often happen that one or more participants are unable to make the trip due to an acute illness. Cancellation can then result in high costs. With group cancellation insurance, there are no unexpected costs, as the insurance benefits include the assumption of cancellation costs.
2. Exam repetition/non-promotion
   Pupils and students may have to retake an exam because it was not passed or has to be repeated for other reasons. The failure of a pupil or a group to pass an examination can also mean that a planned school trip or school trip cannot take place. Class trip cancellation insurance protects against high cancellation costs.

In addition to general reasons, the insurance also applies if a pupil does not transfer or if a pupil leaves the class before it starts. The absence of a named supervisor is also covered.

There is no cover in the event of foreseeable or deliberately caused events or in the event of war, political violence, nuclear energy and pandemics. Gross negligence can also reduce the benefit.

The excess per claim is € 25 per person, if agreed. If the insured event is caused by illness, the insured person shall bear 20% of the loss, but at least € 25

The insurance must be taken out at least 14 days before departure. If there are less than 14 days between booking and departure, insurance can be taken out within three working days of booking. Annual insurance policies can also be taken out at short notice.

With us, trip interruption insurance is integrated into the trip cancellation insurance. If a school trip has to be canceled for an insured reason, the insurance covers the additional costs incurred. These include return travel costs, rebooking costs, accommodation and meal costs as well as cancellation fees for accommodation. The cover is valid for trips of up to 180 days.

The damage must be reported immediately and the trip canceled in order to minimize costs. Medical certificates or other evidence must be provided. Upon request, doctors must be released from their duty of confidentiality.

The insurance company pays two weeks after final determination of the obligation to pay benefits. One month after the claim is reported, an advance payment can be requested in the amount of the minimum expected benefit.

The insurance protects students and teachers against high cancellation costs and offers flexible additional options.
