Basic cover: International health insurance
Yes, it applies worldwide. However, a separate agreement is required in the contract for the USA and Canada.
Treatments that were known or planned before the start of the trip are not covered. Chronic illnesses are also only covered if they unexpectedly become acute during the trip.
As a rule, persons up to the age of 75 can be insured (depending on the tariff selected).
Yes, but only to a limited extent: the insurance covers medically necessary treatment for premature births up to 30 weeks and emergencies. Normal deliveries and check-ups are excluded.
The insurer must be informed immediately in the event of inpatient stays or return transportation. Invoices and medical certificates must be submitted.

Because not every personal liability policy includes worldwide cover. Damage abroad can quickly become very expensive.
